Ambition's smartphone game Bungo Stray Dogs: Tales of the Lost will end service on Friday, July 31, according to announcements on the game's official Japanese and English websites. The shutdown follows the closure of its developer, Ambition. The game first launched in Japan in 2017, with an English version released in July 2018. Crunchyroll served as publisher of the English version from November 2018 until November 2020, after which Ambition resumed management. The developer confirmed that no refunds will be issued for unused in-game currency, specifically Ability Stones, in line with the service terms. The game's end marks the conclusion of a nearly eight-year run for the puzzle RPG. The broader Bungo Stray Dogs franchise continues across other media. The manga by Kafka Asagiri and Sango Harukawa, serialized in Kadokawa's Young Ace since December 2012, remains ongoing. The fifth anime season aired in 2023, and the second season of the spinoff Bungo Stray Dogs Wan! premiered on July 2. Another mobile game, Gakuen Bungo Stray Dogs, developed by NextNinja, launched in November 2025.
