The anime's official X account announced Sunday that Asaka performs the opening theme "GO! GO! RAILWAY!!" for Tetsuryo! meet with Tetsudo Musume, the original anime built on the Tetsudo Musume characters. The Tetsuryo Club, made up of the four main voice actors, sings the ending "Watashi Miraisen." The series premieres October 8 at 12:00 a.m. JST on Tokyo MX and BS Fuji, with HIDIVE streaming.
Shueisha's Young Jump magazine revealed on July 23 that Märchen Crown, the manga by Aka Akasaka, Aoi Kujira, and Ajichika, is entering its final battle. The series will take a one-week break and return in the combined 36th and 37th issue on August 6. The manga debuted in Young Jump in March 2025.
Cameron Teitelman, founder of the Stanford-based nonprofit accelerator StartX, is launching NEXUS ORCA in Japan. The initiative aims to connect researchers, entrepreneurs, investors, and mentors to build a community that can produce world-class deep tech companies. Teitelman found that successful startups emerged from close-knit peer support groups, a model Japan lacks.
Actresses Yui Asaka, Yuka Onishi, and Yuma Nakamura, who played the Kazama sisters in the 1986 drama Sukeban Deka III: Shoujo Ninpou Denki, reunited in Tokyo on July 12 for a Blu-ray release event. They provided live commentary on the second episode, shared behind-the-scenes stories about grueling shoots and their lack of acting experience, and reflected on the series' legacy 40 years after its original broadcast.
Anime Expo announced it will host the first official North American screening of The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love? on July 5. The convention also revealed guests including voice actors Masakazu Morita and Machico, and a Macross panel by BIGWEST on July 2.
