Com2uS Announces Gachiakuta Breakout Survival Action RPG For 2027

Com2uS Group announced the official title GACHIAKUTA : BREAKOUT for its survival action RPG based on Kei Urana's Gachiakuta manga, unveiling the name and gameplay footage during the Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2026 broadcast on September 17, 2026. The game is set to launch in 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. It was previously shown under the working title Gachiakuta: The Game. The trailer features combat scenes including the character Jabber fighting with giant claws, along with cutscene direction. The project is described as an effort to recreate the atmosphere of the anime in game form and to let players enter the series' setting. Urana launched the manga in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine in February 2022, and Kodansha published the 19th compiled volume on July 16. The television anime adaptation debuted in July 2025 and ended its broadcast in December 2025 with its 24th episode. A second season has been announced.

Horror Roguelike Breakout Baby Announced for PC

Publisher Assemble Entertainment announced BREAKOUT BABY, a first-person horror roguelike developed by STH. The game blends Pac-Man-style pellet collection with maze escape, as players carry a baby through an underground labyrinth while fleeing monsters. The baby can be shaken awake to reveal enemies, and items include rattles, pacifiers, and an iPad. A demo is available on Steam and itch.io.

Universal Pictures Signs Deal to Adapt 10 Atari Games Into Films

Universal Pictures has signed a deal to adapt 10 Atari games into films, including Breakout and Pong. Guymon Casady will produce, while Matt Reilly and Carl Hampe will write the script and produce. Atari CEO Wade Rosen expressed excitement about bringing the brand to new media.
