CD PROJEKT RED announced The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt REMASTERS during the gamescom Opening Night Live 2026 broadcast on August 26, 2026. The remastered version of the 2015 open-world RPG arrives with visual upgrades, combat overhauls, improved mount controls, a revamped skill tree, and an expanded photo mode. Owners of the original game will receive the upgrade for free starting September 29, 2026. The two previously released expansions, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, will also be provided free of charge. The remaster is scheduled for release on PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG, as well as PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. Alongside the remaster, the studio showed new footage of the upcoming expansion DLC, titled Songs of the Past in some reports and Memories of Melody in others. The trailer depicts Geralt facing a new threat, using a chain wrapped around his arm as a weapon. The DLC is planned for a 2027 release and is described as Geralt's final journey.

CD PROJEKT RED revealed gameplay footage for the new Witcher 3: Wild Hunt DLC "Songs of the Past" during "REDstreams: On the Go! gamescom 2026" on August 26. The stream confirmed that players can pet dogs, a detail the official The Witcher X account highlighted in a screenshot, tagging the account "Can You Pet the Dog?" The DLC is scheduled for release in 2027 as a paid expansion for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2, with wishlisting currently available. In the expansion, Geralt travels to the new region Retten, an idyllic region hiding dark secrets, reunites with old friends, and faces an evil entity. New abilities and a new weapon called the chain are introduced. The DLC also incorporates improvements from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remaster, which releases on September 29, covering gameplay, graphics, performance, and character progression. Development is a joint effort with Fool's Theory, a studio founded by former Witcher 3 developers. The story centers on Dandelion, who goes missing again, leading Geralt to investigate his hometown of Letten, where he meets potential romance candidate Rila.

The volunteer team behind the Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer mod CyberMP released footage from its second semi-open test. Up to 66 players connected to one server simultaneously, racing, driving cooperatively, and battling in large-scale chaos. Stability held with 30 to 40 players but dropped as numbers rose, an issue reportedly fixed during the test. A release date remains undecided.

CD PROJEKT RED has reduced the development staff for Project Sirius, the Witcher series spin-off described as a single-player and multiplayer title driven by quests and a story campaign. The reduction was reported by US outlet Kotaku on August 13, 2026, and confirmed by the company in a statement. According to that statement, four staff members from the Boston office and five from the Warsaw office were laid off, while nine others were made available to apply for other projects. This brings the staff involved with Project Sirius down to 65, from the 83 assigned as of April 30, 2026, per a CD PROJEKT RED announcement on May 29, 2026. The company said it adjusted the size of the Sirius team to reflect the needs of the project during the development phase. Project Sirius was first announced in 2022. It underwent a restructuring and significant staff reductions in 2023, and in 2025, The Molasses Flood, the studio handling development, was merged into CD PROJEKT RED. Despite the latest cuts, the company has indicated that development of the project continues.

CD Projekt Red and Fool's Theory will reveal the third expansion pack for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, titled Songs of the Past, during gamescom Opening Night Live on August 26 at 3 AM JST. The expansion is set for a 2027 release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It continues the story of Geralt of Rivia and is described as an expansion pack rather than a DLC. The announcement was made by gamescom host Geoff Keighley on July 21. CD Projekt Red will also host guided presentations of Songs of the Past at the CD Projekt Red booth during gamescom 2026 in Cologne, running from August 26 to 28 in the business area and August 26 to 30 in the entertainment area. The expansion is the first new content for The Witcher 3 in over a decade, following the Blood and Wine expansion. Development is a joint effort between CD Projekt Red and Fool's Theory, which includes veteran developers from the original Witcher 3 team. Hints about the expansion were previously teased in a REDstreams broadcast on May 29, 2026, and in social media posts about Beltane night celebrations. The expansion is expected to be on a scale comparable to previous expansions and will introduce new Gwent cards.

Netflix and CD Projekt Red announced on June 28 that the sequel anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 will stream exclusively on Netflix in fall 2026. The 10-episode series is a standalone story set in Night City, described by staff as a raw chronicle of redemption and revenge. Kai Ikarashi, who worked as a storyboard artist and animator on the first season, directs the sequel in his debut as a director. Returning staff include producer and writer Bartosz Sztybor, lead character designer Ichigo Kanno, and scriptwriter Masahiko Otsuka. Studio Trigger animates the series. Four main characters have been revealed: Weak Kingsley, a veteran edgerunner past his prime; D, a netrunner seeking revenge; Roman Carax, a young cinephile; and Talia Yang, a woman from the corporate towers hardened by gang life. A second teaser trailer was released on June 29, featuring an original score by Tsuneo Imahori and the song You Can't Run From Me performed by Rico Nasty. A panel discussion is scheduled for July 4 at Anime Expo in Los Angeles.
