Crimson Desert's First Major DLC Charting the Unknown Lands October 15
Pearl Abyss announced on September 3 during Sony Interactive Entertainment's State of Play broadcast that the first major DLC for Crimson Desert, titled Charting the Unknown, will launch on October 15. The open-world action adventure, released in March and surpassing 6 million cumulative sales worldwide by June, follows mercenary Kliff of the Gray Mane across the continent of Pywel. The DLC depicts Kliff, Unka, and Demian each finding purpose and journeying to carve out their futures amid surrounding chaos. The newly unveiled trailer shows underwater exploration, including swimming while holding onto a shark, steering a large sailing ship, and housing or base-building elements. Game Spark notes footage of giving flowers to an NPC and running at full speed on water. Crimson Desert is available on PC via Steam, Mac App Store, and Epic Games Store, as well as PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. An August 26 update added Japanese voice acting. The DLC is positioned as a paid expansion, though no price was disclosed in the announcements.
