CONTROL Resonant Launches September 24, Shifts to Melee Combat
Remedy Entertainment announced during the June 3 State of Play broadcast that CONTROL Resonant, the sequel to the 2019 supernatural action game CONTROL, will launch on September 24. The game is set in a Manhattan devastated by a paranormal disaster, where reality, gravity, and physics are distorted. Unlike the original, which focused on gunplay with a transforming firearm, Resonant centers on melee combat. The protagonist is Dylan Faden, brother of the previous game's lead Jesse Faden. Dylan wields a transforming melee weapon called the Aberrant and confronts an unidentified cosmic entity. The game is described as a paranormal sci-fi action RPG that expands the scale, systems, and tension of its predecessor. It will be available on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
