Curious George is being used in merchandise and arcade products tied to an 85th anniversary push. SEGA FAVE released two arcade games in Japan, and SEGA Lucky Kuji is set to launch an anniversary lottery on September 11, 2026.
Curious George's current commercial activity in Japan runs through SEGA. SEGA FAVE released two arcade games, Uki Uki CARNIVAL and Uki Uki DRIVE, at amusement facilities across Japan starting July 2, 2026. One uses target shooting, the other driving; both give sticker rewards. The games are part of an 85th anniversary push for the character.
A second anniversary product comes from SEGA Lucky Kuji. The lottery Curious George 85th ~Happy Heartful Days~!! launches sequentially from September 11, 2026, at Lawson, Ministop, hobby shops, and other locations. The prize set includes a 40 cm plush, a silicone room light, hair bands, stacking cups, pouches, hand towels, and gem seals, all using art made for the anniversary. A Last Lucky Prize variant features the Man with the Yellow Hat's hat.
The character also appears in a separate toy line. MEDICOM TOY's BE@RBRICK 400% series includes a Curious George COSTUME Ver. arriving in December 2026, with reservations open until September 10. That release shares a window with Alien and Masters of the Universe figures, while Captain America and Moff Gideon ship in September 2026. Across the stories, the throughline is anniversary merchandise and arcade games rather than new publishing or animation.
