Kojima Productions posted a video message from Bill Skarsgard about his lead role in PHYSINT. Skarsgard said he has been a fan of Hideo Kojima since childhood and that he looks forward to embarking on a new adventure together. He called Kojima a pioneer in the game industry who fuses film and games. No release timing for PHYSINT has been given.

Season 2 of the TV anime Shin Samurai-den YAIBA, subtitled Kaguya Arc, will begin airing January 9, 2027 on Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV's nationwide network, in the Saturday 5:30 PM slot, excluding some regions. A main visual was released alongside the date. It shows Yaiba Kurogane and Takeshi Onimaru crossing the Raijinken and Fujinken, with Kaguya, Tsukikage, and Gekko reflected in the blades as Kaguya abducts Sayaka Mine. The series adapts Gosho Aoyama's YAIBA, serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday from 1988 to 1993 with 24 volumes and a cumulative circulation of 17 million copies. Aoyama supervises the scenario. Takahiro Hasui directs, Toko Machida handles series composition, and Yoshimichi Kameda handles character design and chief animation direction, with WIT STUDIO on animation production and Studio Kurm assisting. Minami Takayama voices Yaiba, Manaka Iwami voices Sayaka, Yoshimasa Hosoya voices Onimaru, Ami Koshimizu voices Kaguya, and Koki Uchiyama voices Tsukikage.

The protagonist takes out a 35-year mortgage on a home in a collective housing complex, then finds it governed by a dictatorial board chairman and a residents' association with enormous authority, and is chosen as a board member. One turn is one week; players allocate limited actions across information, funds, and connections with residents.
The Dengeki Daisy television anime will debut in January 2027 and air for two consecutive cours, a stage presentation at KyoMAF revealed. The main promotional video also named four new cast members: Tomokazu Sugita as Soichiro Kurebayashi, Yuka Terasaki as Riko Onizuka, Setsuji Sato as Masuda, and Kohei Amasaki as Akira. Crunchyroll will stream the anime, directed by Sota Ueno at Studio DEEN.

Mimic Busters, developed by DevAdam and Tape Corps and released by GameDev.ist, arrives on Steam on October 16. The online multiplayer game splits players into Mimics and Hunters. Mimics use 3D modeling tools to sculpt and paint themselves into everyday room objects, and larger models score more. Hunters lose health with each shot, so they must listen for the sound Mimics make every 30 seconds and aim carefully before time runs out.

Bandai Namco Entertainment will hand out a cutlery set to visitors who try ONE PIECE Ocean's Delicacy Restaurant at its Tokyo Game Show 2026 booth. The set carries a design of the Straw Hat crew taking a breather. Quantities are limited and distribution ends when stock runs out. BAND-MAID will perform the new ending theme song "SPIN" for the Beykingdom Arc of the Beyblade X anime, the franchise staff announced Thursday. The full song launches on October 28. The arc premieres October 9 on the franchise's official YouTube channel. Titan Manga will release a special anniversary edition of Yunosuke Yoshinaga's Break Blade manga in English on December 15. The series ran from its 2007 debut to a 20th and final compiled volume in 2022, published in Japan by Flex Comix and later continued on G-mode's Comic Meteor site. CMX Manga released three volumes in North America before the imprint shut down in 2010.
Capcom's Rockman: Dual Override was playable for the first time in Japan at Tokyo Game Show 2026, and the development team answered questions about choosing Blues as a second protagonist alongside Rockman. Director Shinya Ikuta, producer Hiroyuki Minatani, and art directors Yuji Ishihara and Shinsuke Komaki said the decision to have two protagonists was made from the start, and the title was finalized later. Blues uses a shield in close range, with Shield Boomerang available from the beginning and techniques like Rising Shield and Shield Jet unlocked by defeating bosses, while Rockman remains a balanced long-range fighter. Ikuta said Blues no longer has the increased damage taken trait from past titles, and an Overheat Gauge limits technique use until he vents heat. Enemy placements differ between the two characters, and boss behavior is the same. The developers said the game is aimed at newcomers and veterans, with a chip customization system that starts empty in the retail version.

The National Gallery, London and hololive ReGLOSS VTuber Raden Juufuutei will hold a pop-up store at Yurakucho Marui from October 3 to October 12, 2026, IP mixer announced. The store opens on the eighth floor Event Space SPACE5 from 11:00 to 19:00, with free admission. It sells the full lineup of collaboration goods supervised by Raden Juufuutei and based on works by J.M.W. Turner, Vincent van Gogh, and Claude Monet from the museum's collection. The facility's automatic control system has gone out of control and staff have become cybernetic monsters. Ammunition and medical supplies are scarce, carry capacity is limited, and the ending is determined by player choices. It is scheduled for release on PC via Steam in 2027.
Nexon implemented the September update for The First Descendant on September 17, 2026, adding Ultimate Hailey, the Ultimate version of the Ice-attribute sniper Hailey. After the culprit is named, the case does not end. A turn-based battle follows, with the team choosing an arrest plan such as going in with force or striking a blind spot. Culprits carry four emotions, anger, confusion, fear, and sadness, and mind attacks push one emotion high enough to change their state. Cornering a culprit opens a ZONE state where chosen words deal heavy damage. Decapolice is scheduled for release in 2027 on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Steam.
Netflix will stream "Lilith & Cinderella's Fairy Tale Kingdom" worldwide starting Friday, November 20, and a teaser trailer and teaser art are out. The animated film comes from the studio behind "KPop Demon Hunters" and retells Cinderella through her stepsister Lilith, who steals a magic wand and teams up with Cinderella. Alice Tso and John Ripa direct, with Ali Wong as Lilith, Amanda Seyfried as Cinderella, and Bette Midler among the cast.
Square Enix is taking pre-orders for four UNDERTALE and FINAL FANTASY collaboration items drawn in pixel style, with UNDERTALE characters wearing FF job outfits. MyACG Studio's roguelite action game Cinderia will hold a stage event called "Cinderia Latest Information Announcement Stage" at Tokyo Game Show 2026. It runs September 20 from 9:40 to 10:30 AM at the Makuhari Messe event stage, the show's public open day. Producer Xiao Yu and publishing lead hotpot appear for the development team. Sega plans to release two prize figures in its XrossLink series based on Neon Genesis Evangelion Theatrical Edition Air / My Purest Heart for You.
