Enshrouded Leaves Early Access, Full Release Set for October 15 on PC and PS5

Keen Games announced on June 25 that Enshrouded will exit early access with version 1.0 on October 15, 2026. The open-world survival ARPG launches on PC via Steam and on PS5. The Xbox Series X|S version is planned for spring 2027. Early access began in January 2024 and attracted over 5 million players. During that period, the developer released eight major content updates, adding new biomes, enemies, weapons, and building materials. The game supports up to 16 players in multiplayer and features a fully destructible voxel world, crafting, and base building. The setting is a fantasy kingdom consumed by a toxic mist called the Shroud. Players take the role of the Flameborn, the last hope of a dying race. Keen Games CEO Jan Jöckel said the Xbox version requires more time to achieve the expected quality and performance due to the technical demands of the voxel world and multiplayer system. The studio plans to continue supporting the game with content additions after the 1.0 release. More details on the version 1.0 update are expected in summer 2026.
