The series is a direct sequel to the 2021 film Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya: Licht - The Nameless Girl. Director Shin Onuma returns, with Ken Takahashi serving as series director. Scriptwriters Kenji Inoue and Hazuki Minase, character designer Kazuya Hirata, and animation studio SILVER LINK. are all returning from the previous film. The cast also reprises their roles, including Mai Kadowaki as Illyasviel von Einzbern, Kaori Nazuka as Miyu Edelfelt, and Chiwa Saito as Chloe von Einzbern. Onuma stated that he proposed a TV series format instead of a theatrical film in order to secure enough runtime to adapt the story to its conclusion. The franchise began as a manga in 2007 and has spawned multiple TV seasons and films. The final arc follows Illya, Miyu, and Chloe facing Darius Ainsworth as the world faces destruction.

The official X/Twitter account for the Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya franchise announced that new information for the planned sequel work to Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya - Licht Nameless Girl will be revealed on July 20 at 6:00 p.m. JST. The sequel was first announced in August 2021, and a visual was revealed at a 10th anniversary event in August 2023. The latest film, Licht Nameless Girl, opened in Japan in August 2021.

The Fate/Grand Order Exhibition -Stargazing Corridor- opened on July 17, 2026 at the Mori Arts Center Gallery in Roppongi Hills, Tokyo, and runs through September 14. The exhibition spans seven areas, including a Production Materials Room filled with floor-to-ceiling development documents, an Event Story Archive with dioramas and 3D models from past limited-time events, and a Journey of Chaldea corridor featuring large illustrations and a life-sized figure of Mash Kyrielight in her Paladin form. A new animated video plays in the Opening Theater, and an audio guide with voices from Rie Takahashi and other cast members is available. Voice actors Ayako Kawasumi and Maaya Sakamoto attended the opening ceremony, where they discussed their memories of the game and the new recordings they contributed. The exhibition also includes a merchandise store and a collaboration cafe at THE SUN & THE MOON on the same floor. Tickets range from 3,500 yen for regular advance admission to 6,800 yen for same-day admission with goods. The event is produced under the concept of 'everything about Fate/Grand Order' and includes materials that contain spoilers for the Part 2 Final Chapter, which concluded in 2025.

The television anime adaptation of Futa Kimura's manga "Unmei no Makimodo Shi - Fate Rewinder" received its first teaser trailer and key visual on July 3, 2026. The trailer confirmed the anime's cast, staff, and an April 2027 debut on TV Asahi's "ImAnimation" programming block. Crunchyroll announced at Anime Expo on July 2 that it will stream the series. Director Rie Matsumoto, known for "Blood Blockade Battlefront" and "Kyousougiga," is helming the project at Bones Film. Kimiko Ueno handles series composition, and Satoshi Murai composes the music. The cast includes Shō Komura as protagonist Chrono, Kōki Uchiyama as Shirai, Kōhei Amasaki as Akaba, and Reina Ueda as Lemon. The story follows Chrono, a boy whose right eye contains the "Rewinder," a power to rewind time, as he works with a special time police unit to prevent dark futures. The manga launched in Shogakukan's Coro Coro Comics in January 2022 and has twelve compiled volumes as of April 2026. Yen Press will release the first English volume in October 2026.

HoYoverse announced that Honkai: Star Rail version 4.4, titled "The Whistle Roars Amidst the Return to Silence," will release on July 15, 2026, for PC, iOS, Android, and PS5. The update adds a new story arc where the Trailblazer searches for Himeko and confronts the Emanator of Destruction "Return to Silence." A limited 5-star version of Himeko called "Himeko: Departure" (Fire, Erudition) will appear in the event warp. The second collaboration with Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works] begins July 24, introducing limited 5-star characters Rin Tohsaka (Quantum, Erudition) and Gilgamesh (Lightning, Destruction). Rin Tohsaka's kit includes the Jeweled Sword Zelretch and a bow attack referencing Ishtar, plus a coordinated attack with Archer. Gilgamesh uses Gate of Babylon, Chains of Heaven, and Enuma Elish, with a coordinated attack featuring Saber. Players who log in between July 24 and the end of version 4.6 can choose one free 5-star character: Gilgamesh or Archer from the first collaboration. Version 4.4 also adds a Sparkle costume, a new pet, and expands the Money Wars: Zero-Sum Game mode.

On July 1, during the "Chaldea Broadcasting Station Light Version" program, new details emerged for two upcoming Fate/Grand Order events. The "Fate/Grand Order Exhibition -Stargazing Corridor-" will run from July 17 at the Mori Arts Center Gallery in Roppongi, Tokyo. The exhibition covers content from the beginning of the story through the final chapter of Main Story Part 2 at the end of 2025, and beyond. Newly drawn illustrations for 14 Servants in the Grand Class Room were unveiled, including Oberon, Jeanne d'Arc (Alter), and Merlin. Separately, "FGO Fes. 2026 Chaldea School Festival ~11th Anniversary~" will take place August 1-2 at Makuhari Messe. Four new illustrations for that event were shown: Britomart in basketball attire, Gilgamesh as a teacher, Asclepius from the art club, and Sei Shonagon in idol attire. The program also announced collaborations with Sweets Paradise and a beach house featuring summer-themed illustrations, and the release of "Fate/Grand Order Original Soundtrack VIII" on July 1, with a Maaya Sakamoto theme song best album titled "Yoin" arriving July 29.

Fate/Grand Order will hold a new limited-time event, "Waiting for You at the End of Spring," starting July 1 at 20:00 JST. The event features a scenario by Makoto Sanda, known for The Case Files of Lord El-Melloi II. Players who complete the main quests will receive a free 4-star servant, Gray Lily, but must choose between two class versions: Saber or Lancer. The two versions have different designs, Noble Phantasms, and parameters. The event also introduces a new 5-star Alter Ego servant, Ascalaphus, available through the gacha. The story is set in a singularity styled as a job experience amusement park where characters can become the self they want to be. Gray appears in a younger form, and Director Olga Marie also becomes younger. Participation requires clearing the main story chapter "The Beginning of Aftertime." The event runs until July 22. FGO is a free-to-play RPG for iOS and Android developed by TYPE-MOON, with Lasengle handling development and operations.

FGO PROJECT announced on June 24 that a new limited-time event, "Waiting for You at the End of Spring," will begin in early July for Fate/Grand Order. The event requires clearing the main story "Beginning of After Time." Masters visiting a new singularity encounter a costumed Servant who calls themselves a butler of Chaldea. The setting is a dreamlike career experience amusement park where everyone can become the self they want to be. The story explores countless "what-ifs" and the spring tale that unfolds beyond them. A welfare Servant exclusive to the event will be available, obtainable by progressing through the event; details on that Servant will be announced later. This is the first limited-time event after the conclusion of the game's second part in December 2025 and the start of a new main story chapter in June 2026. A broadcast titled "Fate/Grand Order Chaldea Broadcast Station Lite Version: New Event 'Waiting for You at the End of Spring' & 'FGO Fes. 2026' Latest Information" is scheduled for July 1, featuring voice actors Ayako Kawasumi and Satoshi Tsuruoka.
