Final Fantasy XIV: Evercold Preorders Open With Collector's Editions

Square Enix has opened reservations for Final Fantasy XIV: Evercold, the MMO's next expansion, set for release on February 23, 2027 across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, Windows, Mac and Steam. The Standard Edition download costs 4,950 yen and the Collector's Edition 6,930 yen. Reservations are temporarily suspended after a code distribution glitch.

Final Fantasy XIV Opens Evercold Early Access on February 19

Final Fantasy XIV's Evercold expansion opens early access on February 19 and launches officially on February 23, Square Enix said at the Fan Festival 2026 in Tokyo on Saturday. Pre-orders start November 4. The dates are a delay from the previously announced January 2027 release. The patch adds two jobs, Bastion and the newly revealed ranged DPS Zephyr, and the festival showed new areas and a Neon Genesis Evangelion collaboration, Ghosts of Desire, with guest creator Mahiro Maeda.
