The Firefly Wedding TV anime is set to premiere on October 9 on Fuji TV's Noitamina block, with Crunchyroll streaming the series as it airs. The cast includes Lynn and Koki Uchiyama, with Kent Ito and Kenjiro Tsuda joining as Kotaro Ogawa and Mitsueda, and TOOBOE performing the ending theme.
The Firefly Wedding anime adaptation, based on Oreko Tachibana's Meiji-era romance manga, is moving toward its October 9 premiere on Fuji TV's Noitamina block. The production, handled by David Production, features a dark historical romance with graphic violence and a yandere lead. The first episode screened at Anime Expo 2026 to a packed venue, drawing a strong audience reaction that suggests the violent tone can find broad appeal.
The cast has expanded as the premiere approaches. Lynn and Koki Uchiyama star in lead roles, while Kent Ito and Kenjiro Tsuda have been added as Kotaro Ogawa and Mitsueda. TOOBOE performs the ending theme "Yumegokochi." Crunchyroll will stream the series as it airs, having already listed Firefly Wedding in its summer 2026 slate announcement.
The series is part of a larger Crunchyroll lineup that includes several other new adaptations and sequels, with streaming dates beginning July 5. The Anime Expo screening served as an early look at the series, building on David Production's recent track record with adaptations.
