The New National Theatre announced the full cast for the world's first stage adaptation of Fujiko F. Fujio's 1969 sci-fi short manga 'The Minotaur's Plate'. Seishiro Kato plays the protagonist crew member, Future Uchida plays the girl Minoa. The play runs December 10-28 at the New National Theatre's Small Theatre in Tokyo. Takuro Suzuki handles adaptation, choreography, and direction.
A new Doraemon collaboration with fashion brand LAD MUSICIAN launches June 13 at the Shibuya PARCO flagship store and THE DORAEMON STORE. The collection features DJ and band-themed designs, including 10 T-shirt styles showing characters as musicians, plus record shoulder bags, caps, and acrylic key rings. Online sales begin June 15.
At a stage greeting for the film 'Fujiko' in Tokyo, director Kimura Taichi revealed he practiced the tea-throwing technique about 40 times with actress Kishimoto Kayoko before filming a fight scene between her and YOU. The film, set in 1970s-80s Shizuoka, follows a single mother raising her daughter alone.
