Glacier Bay Books is putting its manga catalog on Sweet Shop, a digital comics platform, while continuing to draw award attention. The publisher's 2026 Ignatz Awards nomination for Box Garden Beetle follows an earlier Ignatz win for Glaeolia 2.
Glacier Bay Books said on Bluesky on Friday that its manga are being added to Sweet Shop, a new digital comics platform. Eight titles are available now on the app: Pandora, Dream Another Dream, Mothers, Red Riding Hood's Wolf Apprentice, Red Riding Hood's Wolf Apprentice II, Rabbit Game, Children of Mu-Town, and Ripples. More titles are coming, the publisher said.
The digital move comes as Glacier Bay Books is absorbing the Star Fruit Books line, giving Sweet Shop a small-press manga catalog as a starting library.
Two months earlier, the publisher's translation of Akino Kondoh's Box Garden Beetle was nominated for a 2026 Ignatz Award in the Outstanding Collection category. Glacier Bay Books published the short story collection in English in May after a Kickstarter campaign. Ryan Holmberg translated it, with lettering by Tim Sun and editing by Emuh Ruh and Holmberg. The nomination follows Glacier Bay Books' prior Ignatz win for Glaeolia 2.
