Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remaster Opens at 95% Positive on Steam

Atari released Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered for PC via Steam, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 3, timed to Godzilla Day. The remaster of the 2002 GameCube arena fighter was developed by Pipeworks Studios, the studio behind the original. At the time of writing, 95 percent of 331 Steam user reviews are positive, giving the game a Very Positive rating. Reviewers cite childhood memories of the GameCube version, and upgraded graphics and online battles draw praise. The remaster has 12 monsters and 8 stages, including cityscapes, Monster Island and an alien mothership, with day and night variations per stage. Online multiplayer joins local co-op, and each monster gets a single-player campaign. A Nintendo Switch 2 version is scheduled for November 5. Atari initially appeared to have no Japanese release planned, then confirmed one, including console versions, after an inquiry from Game*Spark, and the game ships with Japanese support.
