Bandai Spirits is releasing a special edition of the MGSD Wing Gundam Zero from Mobile Suit Gundam W: Endless Waltz, featuring a new manufacturing technique called Structural Coating. The kit, named MGSD Wing Gundam Zero EW [Structural Coating/Black], changes all outer armor to black and gray molded colors. Internal parts use Structural Coating, a process that creates iridescent colors visible through gaps in the dark armor, similar to the surface of soap bubbles or CDs. The effect varies by viewing angle, and no two kits will have the same finish due to the processing. The wings have a five-layer structure with individual articulation, and when deployed, they expose internal structural coating plating and clear parts with reflection-cut processing. The kit includes a shield, twin buster rifle, and beam saber, and can transform into Neo Bird mode via part replacement. Pre-orders open on Premium Bandai on July 24, 2026, at 12:00 JST. The price is 12,100 yen (tax included), with shipment scheduled for November 2026.

Tomofumi Ogasawara launched the official crossover manga between Code Geass and Gundam Wing, titled Shin Kidō Senki Gundam W x Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch: Minuet Zero, on Kadokawa's KadoComi platform on Friday. Kōjirō Taniguchi from Sunrise is credited with the scenario.
Kadokawa's Comic Newtype began serializing the crossover manga Minuet Zero on July 10, 2026. The story, set after the Gundam Wing war, sees Britannia overwhelm Mobile Suits with Knightmare Frames. Satoshi Ogasawara draws the manga, with scenario by Hirojiro Taniguchi. The project was announced in December 2025 and commemorates the 30th anniversary of Gundam Wing and the 20th of Code Geass.
Bandai Spirits announced a collaboration between the online shooter Apex Legends and three Real Grade Gunpla kits, which will be sold exclusively at Gundam Base stores and GUNDAM SIDE-F starting July 25. The lineup includes the RG 1/144 Freedom Gundam -Apex Legends Crypto Ver.-, priced at 4,400 yen; the RG 1/144 Wing Gundam Zero EW -Apex Legends Valkyrie Ver.-, also 4,400 yen; and the RG 1/144 Gundam Epion -Apex Legends Alter Ver.-, priced at 5,500 yen. Each kit features a color scheme inspired by an Apex Legends character: the Freedom Gundam uses white, yellow-green, and black for Crypto; the Wing Gundam Zero uses black and orange for Valkyrie; and the Gundam Epion uses light blue and black for Alter. Bandai Namco Filmworks board director and producer Naohiro Ogata announced during the Gundam Conference Spring 2026 livestream on May 15 that the Mobile Suit Gundam Wing franchise is getting a new visual project. The announcement came during a segment where host Hisanori Yoshida noted that a visual project could range from a 10-second clip to a two-hour film or a 50-episode series. Ogata responded that he cannot yet say what the format is, but that it is definitely something long. The Japanese term used in the announcement, "eizō," is an umbrella term covering event shorts, home video releases, theatrical films, and television series. The franchise celebrated its 30th anniversary last year, which included a promotional video screened at San Diego Comic-Con International and a 4K theatrical run of Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz in the United States. A new manga, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing 0.5 Point Half Preventer-7, launched in August, bridging the gap between Endless Waltz and the Frozen Teardrop sequel novels. The manga is drawn by Sakura Asagi and written by original series writer Katsuyuki Sumisawa.
