Japan GX Group Releases GHG Emissions Tool OpenGreenTrack as Open Source

Japan GX Group released OpenGreenTrack, a greenhouse gas emissions calculation and management tool for companies, on September 9, 2026. All source code is published under the Apache License 2.0 with no license cost, and companies can run the data in their own environments. The company is also recruiting participants for a co-creation proof of concept.

Yu-Gi-Oh! TAG FORCE GX Announced for February 16, 2027

Konami Digital Entertainment announced a remake of the 2008 PSP title Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters GX Tag Force 3 during the Nintendo Direct 2026.9.9 broadcast on September 9. The new game, Yu-Gi-Oh! TAG FORCE GX, is scheduled for release on February 16, 2027, for Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch. Based on the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX anime, the remake brings back the original premise in which the player, a student at Duel Academia, is asked by the chancellor to take part in a Tag Duel at the graduation ceremony. Players talk with classmates who are also facing graduation, find a partner, and aim for the top in tag duels. The remake features more than 100 characters, with fully voiced duels for all characters. It also supports online battles, and graphics have been upgraded from the original PSP release. Pre-orders are scheduled to begin after the Direct presentation concludes.

Takara Tomy's Plarail SGX line adds Shinkalion Doctor Yellow, a five-car train that transforms into a robot. Its laser weapon shifts between two forms, and included cross attachments allow a seven-car combination with other SGX products. A special set bundles Doctor Yellow with SGX01 Shinkalion E5 Hayabusa for immediate cross combination. Both items release October 24, 2026, at 7,286 yen and 10,890 yen, and are open for pre-order on Amazon.co.jp.

Nvidia's AI development PC DGX Spark ranked 2nd in Kakaku.com's Desktop PC Popularity Best Seller Ranking as of August 21. The roughly 1 million yen local AI PC appeared alongside gaming PCs priced at 100,000 to 300,000 yen, showing strong demand among local AI developers and users.

Waseda Startup Ecumenopolis Pushes Conversational AI Diagnosis Into Schools

Ecumenopolis, a Waseda University startup founded in 2022 by CEO Yoichi Matsuyama, develops conversational AI agents for diagnostic assessment. Its first product, LANGX Speaking, evaluates English conversation ability using the CEFR framework and is already used by universities, municipalities, and companies. The company runs two business lines: direct application sales and OEM platform licensing.

Combattler V Gets 50th Anniversary CG Video and New Chogokin Soul

Combattler V marks its 50th broadcast anniversary with a two-part commemorative video released July 24, 2026: a Memorial Video of past scenes and a new full CG animation produced by Toei Zukun Laboratory. The CG story introduces the Battle Armor, a new unit that combines with Combattler V into the form Combattler V6. Bandai Spirits announced the Chogokin Soul GX-121 Combattler V6 for February 2027, and Bandai Candy's SMP brand has begun a re-articulation project with a prototype at Wonder Festival 2026 Summer.

Soul of Chogokin Mazinger Z Kakumei Shinka Re-Released for December 2026

Bandai Spirits is re-releasing the Soul of Chogokin GX-105 Mazinger Z Kakumei Shinka figure, originally released in 2022 for the 50th anniversary of the Mazinger Z TV broadcast. Pre-orders open July 1, 2026, with a December 2026 release date. The figure features a new sculpt and redesigned joints for improved posing.

Nvidia Announces DGX Station Desktop PC With GB300 Chip and 748GB Memory

Nvidia announced the DGX Station, a Windows desktop PC built around the GB300 Grace Blackwell Ultra Desktop Superchip, during its GTC Taipei 2026 keynote. The system delivers 20 petaflops of FP4 performance, supports up to 748GB of memory, and can run AI models with up to 1 trillion parameters locally. It is scheduled to launch in the fourth quarter of 2026 through partners including ASUS, Dell, GIGABYTE, HP, MSI, and Supermicro.
