Scissor Seven Universe Expands With HEIBAI Spin-Off, Movie, Game, and Publishing
AHAVERSE announced a major expansion of the Scissor Seven franchise during its New World Premiere showcase at BilibiliWorld 2026. The slate includes a theatrical film, a spin-off animated series, an original mobile game, a publishing imprint, and a live music event. The spin-off series HEIBAI is set 25 years before the main story and follows new protagonists Mo Lang and Bai Qi. It is scheduled for a Q1 2027 release in China, with international plans to be announced later. The mobile game, an action-adventure title with original stories, targets a Q4 2026 launch in China. The film, Scissor Seven: The Movie, is in production and aims for a 2028 global release. AHAVERSE also launched AHABOOKS, a publishing initiative whose first project is the Cheap-Life Hua spin-off manhua, releasing in Q1 2027. The Chicken Island Party will be an annual live music event. AHAVERSE founder Aiken Zou said the goal is to show how stories can grow into worlds through new characters and creative voices. The franchise has over 40 million fans worldwide and 30 billion views across platforms.
