Isshiki-san Wants to Know About Love Anime Reveals Cast, January 2027 Premiere
The television anime adaptation of Ayune Araragi's manga Isshiki-san wa Koi o Shiritai (Ms. Isshiki Wants to Know About Love) has received a teaser trailer that announces its main cast, additional staff, and a January 2027 broadcast window. The teaser, released on May 22, 2026, confirms that Riko Akechi will voice the protagonist Isshiki Rinna Milford, an elite police inspector who has never experienced romantic love. Shuichiro Umeda will play Meishi Rokutanda, a kind but scatterbrained detective who becomes her pseudo-boyfriend. Kazuya Komai is directing the series at studio Sakura Create. Deko Akao is handling series composition, and Shohei Hamaguchi is designing the characters. Additional staff include prop designer Noriyasu Murata, CG director Satomi Nakajima, and music composer MICHIRU. The romantic comedy manga originally launched under the title Rinna Keibu wa Kokyu ga Dekinai in 2016 before relaunching in Kadokawa's Monthly Shonen Ace in 2020. Nine compiled volumes have been released, with a tenth due on May 25, 2026. Yen Press has licensed the manga for English release.
