Manga Up! Global added two Square Enix manga to its English catalog this week. Fumi Ito's Escape from the Seventh Night, a supernatural mystery based on Takuma Sakai's light novel, arrived Monday. Ume Koshida's Daughter of the Dragon God arrived Tuesday. Escape from the Seventh Night ran on Gangan Online from October 2023 to 2025. Daughter of the Dragon God has run in Shonen Gangan since December 2023, and Square Enix Manga & Books will release it in print starting March 2027.
Kadokawa announced on Wednesday that the television anime of Syuu and Nanna Fujimi's light novel series Victoria of Many Faces will receive a second season and a new special episode. The announcement came alongside a new visual. The first season premiered on TV Tokyo and its affiliated channels on July 7 and concluded with its ninth episode on Tuesday. A recap episode is scheduled for next Tuesday. The anime is directed by Nobukage Kimura at Studio DEEN, with Naohiro Fukushima overseeing series scripts and Mina Osawa designing the characters. The cast includes Chika Anzai as Victoria, Shion Wakayama as Nonna, Yōhei Azakami as Jeffrey, and Kenji Nojima as Lancome. Haku. performs the opening theme song "Isshin," and KI_EN performs the ending theme song "En no Tsuki." The light novel series began on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in December 2021, and Kadokawa published the fourth volume on June 25. A manga adaptation by Komo Ushino launched on Kadokawa's Flos Comic website in December 2022, with its seventh compiled volume shipped on July 17. Yen Press publishes both the light novel and manga in English.
City Connection announced its Tokyo Game Show 2026 booth lineup on September 1, with the event running September 17-21 at Makuhari Messe. The centerpiece is Jajamaru no Hyakki Yakouden, the latest Ninja Jajamaru-kun series title, a hack-and-slash action game planned for 2027 on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Steam. It will be playable at the booth, and visitors receive a double-sided mini uchiwa printed with Jajamaru-kun. The booth also hosts Yakyuu Kakutou League Man Bases Loaded, an HD remake of the 1993 arcade beat-em-up releasing December 10 on Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam; Jalecolle Famicom-hen: SHATTERHAND, a horizontal action re-release for Switch in 2026; and Muchi Muchi Pork! & Pink Sweets Boosted, a vertical bullet hell bundle arriving October 1 on Switch, PS5, and Steam. A photo spot corner themed around the Jajamaru game, with the yokai cast and a large Gama Pakkun, and a Natsume command time attack event on September 19 are also planned. A live stream on September 2 at 21:00 will detail the booth contents.

The studio is currently developing OD and Physint (working title) after the DEATH STRANDING series, and seeks talent with experience in consumer game development, photorealistic graphics, and tools built with C++, Python, and C#.
Daiichi Kosho announced that, in a joint project with Jump Channel, it will distribute 10 selected JUMP MV videos as karaoke background footage on DAM starting September 1. The MVs combine original manga artwork with anime theme songs. Compatible models are LIVE DAM WAO! and the LIVE DAM Ai series.
