Kamen Rider Kabuto's 20th anniversary is running across a theatrical sequel film, an experiential event, and a wave of Bandai merchandise. The film opens in theaters on November 6, 2026, while the merchandising push continues into 2027.
Kamen Rider Kabuto's 20th anniversary is being marked by a theatrical film, an event, and a merchandise wave. The sequel, Kamen Rider Kabuto 20th: The One Who Inherits the Heavens, opens in theaters on November 6, 2026, with a Blu-ray and DVD release on February 10, 2027. Its theme song, "NEXT LEVEL Pass the tofu Version," is performed by Yuki Sato, Hidenori Tokuyama, and Kazuki Kato, their first vocal collaboration in 20 years. An experiential event, Kamen Rider Kabuto World 20th CAST OFF, began on September 19, 2026.
On September 20, 2026, Toei producer Shin-ichiro Shirakura said on X that the V-Cinema (V-Cinext) label has no plans for continued production for the time being, and that the Kabuto 20th film will likely be the last. He pointed to the THE KAMENRIDER PREMIUM and THE KAMENRIDER ANIMATED labels as where Kamen Rider sequels go next. The remark came without a Toei announcement behind it.
Bandai's merchandise for the anniversary spans several releases. A SUPER BEST wave revives DX transformation items from five Kamen Rider series, including the Hopper Zecter, with items releasing between September and November 2026. Two S.H.Figuarts (Shinkocchou Seihou) 20th Anniversary Ver. sets followed: KickHopper and PunchHopper as a two-figure set for 22,000 yen, shipping March 2027, and a Dark Kabuto Rider Form figure for 11,000 yen, shipping February 2027. Both use new coloring and light-collecting head parts.

Bandai Spirits will release S.H.Figuarts (Shinkocchou Seihou) Kamen Rider KickHopper & Kamen Rider PunchHopper 20th Anniversary Ver. as a two-figure set marking 20 years of Kamen Rider Kabuto. Preorders open on Premium Bandai and the Tamashii Web Shop at 4:00 PM on September 18, 2026, with shipment scheduled for March 2027. The set costs 22,000 yen including tax, and shipping and handling are separate. Both figures stand about 145mm tall and use PVC and ABS. The bodies are sculpted from the skeleton up and include joint mechanisms for wide articulation. Anchor Jacks on KickHopper's left leg and PunchHopper's right arm have movable gimmicks for their Rider Kick and Rider Punch finishers. New light-collecting head parts let you stage the compound eyes glowing when light shines from behind the head, and a PET background sheet recreates their simultaneous transformation scene.
