Kikuko Inoue voices the Queen in the new Fairy Princess Minky Momo OVA, which opens in Japanese theaters on November 13, and the Puppeteer in the new Ghost in the Shell anime, whose episode 7 aired August 18.
Kikuko Inoue has two new roles in current anime. In the new Fairy Princess Minky Momo OVA she voices the Queen, one of four cast members announced on the official website. The others are Show Hayami as the King of Diginarsa, Kazuyuki Okitsu as Momo's father, and Mie Sonozaki as her mother. The announcement rounds out Momo's family and the royal figures who set the plot in motion. The OVA opens in Japanese theaters on November 13.
Inoue also voices the Puppeteer in the new Ghost in the Shell anime. The character debuted in episode 7, which aired August 18. The Puppeteer's female voice is a notable departure from the 1995 film's male portrayal. Viewers reacted to the voice, to the return of Willis's branching fingers, and to the episode's dense plot, which left many struggling to follow the story.
