Kenshi Yonezu Mini CD Collection Arrives in Gashapon Capsules

Bandai is releasing a gashapon capsule line of miniature Kenshi Yonezu CD charms. The collection includes 11 total designs, one of them secret, featuring the Chainsaw Man Reze Arc film theme "IRIS OUT," the Hikaru Utada collaboration "JANE DOE," "Lemon," and the album "LOST CORNER." Each capsule costs 500 yen and ships in the fifth week of August 2026.

Yen Press Licenses Nine Titles at Anime North 2026

Yen Press announced nine new license acquisitions during its industry panel at Anime North 2026 in Toronto on May 22. The slate includes two novel series and seven manga titles, scheduled for release in December 2026 and winter 2027. The novel pickups are a prequel to the manga "Wistoria: Wand and Sword" by Fujino Omori with illustrations by Yunagi, and a novel adaptation of "Honey Lemon Soda" by Anju Goshirakawa based on Mayu Murata's original story. The seven manga are "Snowmelt and Agapanthus" by Nauchi, "Witch and Cat" by Yodaka Kuroi, "Sinful Is the Angel Who Loves" by Yukari Sakai, "Shigahime" by Hirohisa Sato, "Studio Cabana" by Uma Agri, "Gusts and Beats" by Karuho Shiina, and "Twilight Vessel-Gods" by Shin Yamamoto. The genres span supernatural romance, psychological horror, action, and queer romance. The "Wistoria" prequel novel, titled "Tsue to Tsurugi no Wistoria Grimo Acta: Hajimari no Namida" in Japanese, arrives as the manga's second anime season began airing on April 12, 2026.

The Forsaken Saintess and Her Foodie Roadtrip Anime Sets July Debut

The television adaptation of Yoneori's light novel series The Forsaken Saintess and Her Foodie Roadtrip in Another World will premiere in July on Tokyo MX, BS NTV, CBC, and AT-X. A new trailer, key visual, and four additional cast members were announced on Thursday. Sumire Morohoshi plays Aria, Shinnosuke Tachibana plays Senon, Shoya Chiba plays Ed, and Kaede Hondo plays Gomamiso. They join the previously announced leads Sora Tokui as Rin Takanashi and Yuki Ono as Vil. The trailer previews the opening theme "Butterfly" by INUWASI. Onkan Lemonade will perform the ending theme "Holy Sweet Home." HIDIVE confirmed it will stream the series in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand as part of its summer simulcast lineup. The story follows Rin, a woman around thirty who is summoned as a saint alongside a high school girl, only to be exiled immediately when her camper van and survival skills are judged worthless. She discovers those skills are actually powerful in the right environments and sets off on a solo camping and cooking journey across the fantasy world, gathering companions as she travels.
