ABSOLUTE ACT Strike Freedom Gundam Debuts at TOKYO Toy Show 2026

Bandai Spirits is launching a new Gundam figure brand called ABSOLUTE ACT, built around the ABSOLUTE ACTION SYSTEM for articulation. The first entry is the Strike Freedom Gundam from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY, which received its world first display at TOKYO Toy Show 2026, running from August 27 to August 30, 2026. The approximately 185mm tall ABS/PVC figure features movable mechanisms in the neck, shoulders, and waist, plus a waist rail mechanism and shoulder pull-out mechanism for dynamic posing. It includes a high-energy beam rifle, two beam sabers, a connected saber handle, two beam shields, interchangeable wrist parts, and a base with a bendable support rod. Reservations begin August 27, 2026, at general retail stores, with release scheduled for March 2027 at 16,500 yen including tax. TOKYO Toy Show 2026's first two days are trade-only, with public access on August 29 and 30. The show also featured other Gundam items at the Bandai Spirits booth, including Gundam Miximize Gundam Zero and HG 1/144 Gundam Zero.

Poko A Pokemon DLC Wave 1 Bubbly Deep-Sea Town Launches August 5

The Pokemon Company released the first paid downloadable content for the Nintendo Switch 2 game Poko A Pokemon on August 5. The expansion, titled Bubbly Deep-Sea Town, is part of the Poko A Pokemon Expansion Pass, which costs 4,400 yen. The content adds an underwater town that players can explore using the new move Dive, introduced in a free update also released on August 5. In the DLC, players meet the sea lion Pokemon Popplio and work to restore a waterlogged, ruined town. The underwater environment includes new Habitat entries, water-type Pokemon such as Corsola, and light-emitting furniture for the pitch-black Deep Sea area. Players can also build floating structures using Block Floats. The free update Ver.2.0.0 adds the move Dive, which allows the protagonist Ditto to stay submerged indefinitely, as well as new settings to reduce motion sickness. To access the DLC, players must complete the request 'Further Raise the Environment Level!' in Don Yori Beach Town and learn Dive. Wave 2 is scheduled for winter 2026, and Wave 3 for 2027.

Let's Play Webcomic Season 4 Returns July 22 on Tapas

Rocketship Entertainment announced that Leeanne M. Krecic's webcomic Let's Play will resume with Season 4 on Tapas on July 22. A pre-launch episode is already available. The return will be celebrated at San Diego Comic-Con 2026, where creator Mongie will appear and sign free prints.
