The first two seasons of the Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha TV anime are now streaming for free on the official YouTube channel, timed to the upcoming premiere of the latest series. Starting June 12, episodes 1 through 6 of the original Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha are available for one week. Episodes 7 through 13 will follow on June 19. The second season, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's, will begin its free run on June 26 with episodes 1 through 6, and episodes 7 through 13 will be added on July 3. Each batch is available for exactly one week before it is removed. The promotion is meant to build anticipation for Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha EXCEEDS Gun Blaze Vengeance, which starts airing in July 2026. The Nanoha franchise began with the first TV anime in 2004 and has since expanded into films, manga, and games.

A television anime adaptation of Izushiro's light novel series The Greatest Magicmaster's Retirement Plan has been announced for a 2027 premiere. The anime's official website opened on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, revealing a teaser promotional video, teaser visual, lead cast member, and staff. Yuto Uemura will voice protagonist Alus Reigin, the world's strongest magicmaster who seeks retirement but ends up enrolled in a magic academy. Yusuke Suzuki, known for This Monster Wants to Eat Me and Duel Masters Win, is directing the anime at studio HOTLINE. Gigaemon Ichikawa is handling series scripts, Yuki Kitajima is designing characters, and Takatoshi Hamano is the sound director. The light novel series, which began on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in 2015, has 20 volumes published by Hobby Japan. A prequel manga titled The Greatest Magicmaster's Retirement Plan Zero -The Secret History of the Beginning- is scheduled to launch this winter, drawn by Karu Yoneshiro, who also illustrated the second manga adaptation. J-Novel Club publishes the novels in English.

The official website for the new Fairy Princess Minky Momo OVA, titled Fairy Princess Minky Momo: A Duo of Sincerity Toward a Dream of Longing, announced on Saturday that the film will open in Japanese theaters on November 13. The OVA is the franchise's first new animated release since 1994's Minky Momo in The Station of Your Memories, marking a 32-year gap. The story is set in Diginarsa, the land of dreams and hopes, which is sustained by dream energy. As humans lose their dreams and hopes, the dream energy decreases, threatening the land's existence. The king sends three companions-Chamocha, Dettabook, and Pipirupi-to seek help from Minky Momo. On her 12th birthday, a girl named Momo receives a smartphone and awakens as Minky Momo after meeting the companions, resolving to save Diginarsa. As she collects dream energy, a mysterious app becomes popular, but the dreams children share on the app are frivolous, driven by desire for recognition or views. Momo begins to question everyone's dreams. Ayumu Watanabe directs the OVA at Ashi Production, with Deko Akao writing the script and Hiroshi Watanabe and Mari Tominaga handling character designs. The original 1982 series was directed by Kunihiko Yuyama.
