MSI Sets Late November Launch for MEG X Monitor at Around 302,500 Yen

MSI Computer Japan will release the 34-inch gaming monitor MEG X from late November, with a manufacturer's estimated retail price of around 302,500 yen including tax. The panel is a 3440x1440 QD-OLED at a 21:9 aspect ratio, with a 360Hz maximum refresh rate and a 0.03ms gray-to-gray response time. The subpixel layout uses an RGB stripe structure, which MSI says curbs the color fringing around text edges that affected earlier QD-OLED panels and makes characters easier to read. A five-layer tandem OLED structure with five stacked emitting layers raises brightness by roughly 30 percent versus conventional models, and MSI says the HDR peak holds for longer. The surface carries a new Dark Armor Film that suppresses external reflections while improving black levels by up to 40 percent and offering 2.5 times the scratch resistance of prior panels. An onboard AI processor runs game assistance such as AI Vision+ without drawing on the PC, and the SpectrumBar+ LED bar can mirror the in-game HP gauge.
