Meikyū Jinja Opens Steam Store Page with 2027 Release Planned
RainyDollGames opened the Steam store page for Meikyū Jinja on August 31, 2026, with a release planned for 2027. The game is a Japanese-style co-op horror title in which up to four players work together to escape a labyrinth that lies beyond a torii gate. The labyrinth's structure, item placement, and gimmicks change with every play, and apparitions with distinct abilities, such as sharp vision or sharp hearing, stalk the halls. Players must decide when to move quietly and when to run. The game is a spiritual sequel to Meikyū Kōsha, the developer's co-op horror title that sold 150,000 copies. At the shrine hub, players buy tools and omamori charms that grant passive abilities. In-game voice chat attenuates sound by distance and obstacles, so separated players lose each other's voices. Difficulty spans four levels from Easy to Oni. The game supports 1 to 4 players online, including public lobbies.
