DRECOM CREATORS STUDIO, the indie publishing arm run by Drecom, announced its first three titles: TIMEMOON, Beautiful Life Show, and Chill Planet. All three will be exhibited at Tokyo Game Show 2026, held September 17-21 at Makuhari Messe. The studio also renewed its official website and plans to announce a fourth publishing title in October 2026.

The 31st Busan International Film Festival will screen 13 films in a new out-of-competition category, "Japanese Animation Special: Masterpieces of Madness, Exhilarating Prospects 12+1." The lineup spans 1958 to 2026, from The White Snake Enchantress and Belladonna of Sadness through Metropolis and Mind Game to four 2026 titles. The King and the Mockingbird, a French film that influenced Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata, also screens in the section.

The final chapter of Kento Amemiya's Kinato's Magic manga appeared in the 39th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump on Monday. Shueisha will release the third and fourth compiled volumes simultaneously on October 2. The series ran in the magazine since February 2.

AmiAmi has opened pre-orders for a new 1/7 scale figure of Lynn Minmay from the film "Macross: Do You Remember Love?" The figure is produced by the brand Arcadia and is based on the key visual from the orchestra concert "Super Dimension Orchestra," held in September 2017 to mark the 35th anniversary of the Macross franchise. The figure recreates the visual's gradient hair with pearl coating and clear parts at the tips, while the dress uses white pearl coating and the stole is made with clear parts. The acrylic base carries the U.N. Spacy emblem, and the set includes the figure body, the emblem base, and a base attachment for the left heel. The figure stands approximately 230mm tall, uses ATBC-PVC, ABS, acrylic, and iron in its construction, and is scheduled for release in May 2027. The reference price is 21,780 yen including tax. Biside's work companion adventure 'Memory of Memorie: A Chill Story' launched for PC, Mac, Switch 2, and Switch on July 23. Developer Kazunori Nanji said the Switch version lacked a farewell menu because the console does not require exiting the game, and after fan requests, the team moved quickly to add the feature.

GoldenGratus released Memoirium, a retro soulslike set in a collapsing dream realm. Players fight hostile phantoms, adapt to alien rules, and decorate a safe room with items found on the journey, including computers, chairs, TVs, and a cat. The PC game is available on Steam for 1,700 yen, with a 10 percent discount until August 28.
