Moomin: Midsummer Madness Demo Arrives on Switch and Switch 2 Ahead of November 12 Launch
Shochiku Games began distributing a trial version of Moomin: Midsummer Madness on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on October 29, 2026. The demo covers Chapter 1 of the point-and-click adventure's six chapters. Distribution is scheduled to end at 23:59 Japan time on November 11, one day before the full release on November 12 for Switch, Switch 2, and PC via Steam. Crossbridge Game Studios developed the game, which adapts Tove Jansson's novel of the same name. The story opens as Moomintroll waits for Snufkin, who has not returned from his travels, and a great flood strikes Moominvalley. The Moomin family drifts to a mysterious theater full of costumes, scripts, and stage magic. The Switch 2 version supports up to 4K output, up to 60fps rendering, and HD rumble. Prices are 2,300 yen on Steam and 2,550 yen for the Switch and Switch 2 download versions, both tax included. A new trailer focused on Moomintroll and Little My was released alongside the demo.
