Hobonichi will release the 2027 edition of the Hobonichi Techo and Whiteboard Calendar featuring MOTHER2: Gyiyg Strikes Back on September 1 at 11:00 AM. The MOTHER edition of the Techo marks its 13th year since the 2015 edition. The cover uses Dungeon Man as a design motif, with embroidered details. A Mr. Saturn pattern appears on the Weeks type, and a Hint Shop Graph Paper Notebook comes as a bonus.
Bandai Spirits will release the second Ichiban Kuji lottery for the Super Famicom game Mother 2: Gyiyg Strikes Back on June 6, 2026. The A prize is a room light shaped like Mr. Saturn's house that glows softly. The B prize is a "Really Usable Present Box" modeled after the in-game item. Other prizes include a town souvenir glass mug, a store lunch bag with a receipt sticker, a window name marker, health companion items with hospital and power-up designs, rubber items, and stationery. The last one prize, given to the person who draws the final ticket, is a huggable Mr. Saturn plushie about 30 cm tall with side openings for the hands. A double chance campaign offers a full set of C prizes by lottery. Each play costs 790 yen including tax. The lottery will be available at Lawson, Nintendo TOKYO, Nintendo OSAKA, Nintendo KYOTO, Nintendo FUKUOKA, and other retailers. Advance sales began June 4 at the Living Enjoyment Exhibition in Shinjuku. The first Mother 2 Ichiban Kuji, released in November 2024 for the 30th anniversary, sold out quickly.
