Mr Trippy Announced: Ice Cream Shop Sim Doubles as Drug Trafficking Game
Publisher Silver Lining Interactive announced on August 4 that it will release 'Mr Trippy', a dark comedy management simulation developed by its in-house label Silver Bullet. The game is planned for PC via Steam in 2027. Players run an ice cream mobile vendor that secretly sells illicit items disguised as regular products to specific clients. The trailer shows coded orders like 'vanilla ice cream with drugs' and 'chocolate ice cream with a cannabis joint.' The city is monitored by police and undercover investigators, so players must keep a 'Heat Meter' low by reading customer orders and surroundings. If caught, the business continues from prison. Earned cash cannot be invested directly; players must launder money through city shops, such as a laundromat labeled 'Legit Laundry,' to clean funds for vehicle customization and expansion. The old van can be customized with body color, wheels, and roof decorations, and expanding to new districts brings new customers and recipes. Silver Bullet is a new label that began as a nurturing program for indie developers and evolved into an in-house IP development studio. 'Mr Trippy' is its first title, with other original projects in progress. The concept came from an ice cream van outside the publisher's office, with CEO Luke Keighran suggesting a simulator that also deals drugs.
