Google Releases Nano Banana 2.1 Image AI With Better Text And Consistency
Google announced Nano Banana 2.1, an updated image generation model built on Gemini 3.6 Flash. The model adds improved visual quality and text rendering at 1K, 2K, and 4K resolutions, fixes tiling artifacts in wide aspect ratios, supports fusion of up to 14 reference images, adds Google Search grounding, and offers configurable thinking levels. Known limits include weak page-length text rendering and imperfect character consistency.
