Sony Interactive Entertainment launched the PlayStation Store SUMMER SALE on July 15, 2026, immediately following the end of the July Bargain Sale. The new sale runs through August 12 and offers discounts of up to 80% on select PS5 and PS4 titles. The event is split into two phases: the first runs from July 15 to July 29, and the second from July 27 to August 12, with some titles changing between phases. Square Enix's officially licensed permanent cafe and shop, 'Officially Licensed SQUARE ENIX Cafe & Shop SHINJUKU,' opened June 12 in Tokyo's Shinjuku district. The three-floor venue features themed menus and merchandise for Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, NieR:Automata, and Fullmetal Alchemist series, with a reservation-priority cafe and a ground-floor shop open to all.

Square Enix will re-release three FORMISM series figures from NieR:Automata starting June 7, 2026. The 2B and 9S figures ship on June 7, while the A2 figure follows on June 27. Each is priced at 4,950 yen. The 2B figure uses the goggles-on version of the character.

Haelwenn Monnier, developer of the BadWolf browser, reported that Cloudflare Turnstile's authentication enters an infinite loop on WebKitGTK-based browsers when WebGL fingerprinting is blocked. Turnstile uses WebGL renderer data as a signal to distinguish humans from bots, but browsers that generalize or hide that data for privacy reasons are flagged as suspicious, causing a conflict between privacy protection and bot detection.

Nao Iwamoto's manga "The Seven Knights of the Marronnier Kingdom" will be adapted into a TV anime that airs on NHK E-Tele starting October 2026. The announcement was made on June 1 alongside a teaser visual and a special video. The manga has been serialized in Shogakukan's Monthly Flowers since 2016 and has ten volumes released as of June 1. It ranked first in the women's category of Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2018. The story follows seven brothers who serve as knights and are dispatched as ambassadors to seven different countries from the Marronnier Kingdom, a nation at the center of eight countries. The anime marks the tenth anniversary of the manga's serialization. Seiko Sayama, director of To Your Eternity, is directing the series. Shinzo Fujita handles series composition and script, Yuriko Maeda designs the characters, and J.C.STAFF produces the animation. The teaser visual shows the seven brothers walking on a grassland with marronnier flowers. A special announcement video will be released on the anime's official website.

Ask Co. opened pre-orders on May 29 for the NieR 15th Anniv. Gaming Chair, a limited model themed after Kaine from NieR Replicant. The chair uses Seki Furniture's Contieaks frame and costs about 70,000 yen. Pre-orders run through June 14, with shipments starting in early September.

A new official symphonic concert tour, NieR:Orchestra Concert 12026 [YoRHa], has been announced. The tour features a full orchestra and chorus, original vocalists J'Nique Nicole and Emi Evans, a giant screen, and a new narrated story set before NieR:Automata. Creator Yoko Taro and composer Keiichi Okabe will attend the Seattle show. Anime News Network is giving away two pairs of tickets.
