Nivalis Nights

Nivalis Nights is the renamed cyberpunk life sim from ION LANDS, the studio behind Cloudpunk. 505 Games announced on June 30 that the game, previously titled Nivalis, would launch on PC via Steam on September 30. That date held. The Steam release arrived September 29, 2026 at 3,150 yen with a 10 percent launch discount to 2,835 yen through October 14. An Epic Games Store version is planned with no release date set.

The pre-launch run was steady: a first Q&A video on the relationship system and a serial killer in the city, an introduction video, a second Japanese-subtitled trailer, a third Q&A video on taxis, metro, and private boats, and a day-in-the-life gameplay video. On September 18 the Steam wishlist count passed 1 million, against roughly 130,000 for Cloudpunk at launch.

The launch itself drew a 7,000 peak player count on Steam. Within 24 hours, performance complaints arrived. Update #1 on October 2 fixed bugs and improved character movement, animations, physics simulation, staff order-taking, furniture placement, and an unreadable quest log after toggling the J key. Update #2 on October 3 added a light culling system with a Lighting Detail slider, changed staff work priorities so employees specialize, improved save overwrite safety, and removed the Low texture quality setting. A future patch will further reduce rendering load in large-scale scenes. As of October 3, Steam user reviews are Mostly Positive, with players praising the content while many cite performance issues.
