Frictional Games, the studio behind SOMA and the Amnesia series, will bring its in-development science fiction horror adventure ONTOS to the gamescom 2026 Opening Night Live event. The game follows protagonist Aditi Amani as she investigates mysteries left by her estranged father, a cult prophet, inside the labyrinthine hotel and lunar base Samsara.
Frictional Games and publisher Kepler Interactive announced on July 3 that the sci-fi mystery adventure 'ONTOS' has been delayed from 2026 to 2027. The developer cited the need for more polish to realize the game's ambitious scale, scope, and narrative depth. 'ONTOS' is set on the lunar base Samsara and follows protagonist Aditi Amani investigating her father's cult legacy. It is positioned as a spiritual successor to the acclaimed horror title 'SOMA'.
