Unauthorized Steam Store Page Created for Solo Developer's Game
Solo game developer ItsMirror reported on June 26 that an unauthorized Steam store page was created for their game 'Paint Gal Adventures' without permission. The page was brought to their attention when a person on X (formerly Twitter) claimed to have made it, telling ItsMirror, 'I made your Steam store page. Be grateful.' The store page included a plausible description and screenshots, listing ItsMirror as both developer and publisher. According to SteamDB, the page may have been created as early as June 2026. ItsMirror urged reporting the matter to Valve, noting that filing a DMCA copyright infringement claim would result in the claimant's personal information being shared with the alleged infringer. The person who created the page also claimed to have uploaded other games to Steam. Some voices link them to a user who previously engaged in nuisance behavior under a different name, though the truth is unknown. 'Paint Gal Adventures' is a 3D platformer with a demo available on itch.io since 2025, featuring a girl protagonist named Paint Gal.
