VRChat Sets First Official Offline Meetup for Akihabara in May 2027
VRChat will hold OFFKAI2027, described by KAI-YOU as its first official large-scale offline event for users, across two days on May 22 and 23, 2027, at Akihabara UDX in Tokyo. VRChat Inc., the United States company that runs the social VR platform, organized the event with Skeb Inc., the operator of the commission platform Skeb, and Polygon Tailor Consulting Inc., which supports companies entering the metaverse. Programming includes a creator sales event, an exhibition of VR devices, and a social gathering for around 800 people. VRChat Inc. CEO Graham Gaylor is named in the announcement.
