Project Motor Racing

Project Motor Racing is a racing simulator that Sega has supported through downloadable packs in 2026. The pattern is consistent: each pack adds nine cars grouped into three classes, plus one new circuit. Coverage of the sim is built entirely around these releases, with no reported changes to the base game, its platforms beyond the initial release, or its development team.

The first of the three packs in the record, the GT Icons Pack, arrived on June 23, 2026. It drew on 1960s and 1970s racing cars across the GT 70, Sports Car 67, and GT 60 classes, with entries such as the 1974 Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 3.0, the 1973 Chevrolet Corvette C3, and the 1967 Ford Mk.IV. It added the Rocky Knoll Raceway circuit with two layouts.

The V8 Power Pack followed. Sega announced it on August 28, 2026 for a September 15 release on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, then began distributing it on September 15. The pack covers three classes and nine cars: V8 Evo, with the 2023 Ford Mustang AU and 2023 Chevrolet Camaro AU; USV8, with the 2022 Dodge Challenger TA/2, 2022 Ford Mustang TA/2, and 2022 Camaro TA/2; and Historic USV8, with the 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 TA, 1970 Plymouth Barracuda TA, 1970 AMC Javelin TA, and 1968 Camaro TA Z28. It also adds the laser-scanned Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.

Across the three stories, the sim's direction is American and Australian V8 machinery and period road racing, layered onto European and American classics from the earlier pack. The only release window stated is the September 15 date for the V8 Power Pack.
