Reincarnated as a Sword II is set to begin airing in October. Sony Music Labels announced FZMZ will perform the opening theme, "DREAM OF BUTTERFLY." The series appears in a crossover visual with From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman II that pairs Fran with Beryl.
Reincarnated as a Sword II has an October premiere date and a theme song confirmed. Sony Music Labels announced on August 18 that FZMZ, a five-member avatar band, will perform the opening theme "DREAM OF BUTTERFLY." The track is the band's first new song in two years and their third original in that span, written specifically for the anime.
The series also anchors a crossover with From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman II. A collaboration visual pairs Fran with Beryl under the line "The sword that leads, the sword that is led." The visual arrived alongside episode 11 of the other series, titled "The Old Country Bumpkin Gets Furious," which airs at 23:51, six minutes later than usual, because of the TV Asahi IMAnimation W slot.
Both stories tie Reincarnated as a Sword II to an October start and place Fran at the center of its promotional materials so far. The crossover image positions her opposite a mentor figure from a separate series, and the theme song announcement gives the premiere a confirmed musical act.
