Ryon's Are You a Landmine, Chihara-san? anime is set for January 7 on MBS, TBS, and 26 affiliated channels in the Super Animeism Turbo block, after the staff's earlier plan for a 2026 airing was pushed back to January 2027. The manga's English release from Seven Seas begins September 29, 2026, preceding the anime.
Ryon's Are You a Landmine, Chihara-san? went through a date change before landing a slot. The production staff first announced a 2026 airing, then in mid-September confirmed the anime would debut in January 2027. By mid-October the date was set at January 7, running Thursdays at 00:26 on MBS, TBS, and 26 affiliated channels in the Super Animeism Turbo block.
The staff has stayed consistent across both the teaser and the dated announcement: Yasuaki Fujii directs at Synergy SP, with Keiichiro Ochi on series scripts, Majiro on character designs, and Arisa Okehazama composing music at King Records. The cast is Sayumi Suzushiro as Mai Chihara, Kazuki Ura as Kuroki, Maaya Uchida as Chinatsu Iwakura, Tomokazu Sugita as Hibiya, and Daisuke Ono as Kazami.
The anime arrives after Seven Seas Entertainment begins the manga's English release on September 29, 2026, so the licensed read and the broadcast are close together. The teaser shows Kuroki seated beside Mai Chihara at the start of a new semester.
