A playtest of Shangri-La Frontier: Seven Strongest Species, the switch-battle RPG developed by Netmarble, finds it is not a kusoge, the term for bad games the series is built around. The game, announced in July 2022 and in development for PC, iOS, and Android, recreates the original world with original side-story scenarios. Parties of four field two active fighters and two on standby in the playtest version.
Netmarble began pre-registrations on September 11 for Shangri-La Frontier: The Seven Strongest Species, a free-to-play game planned for release within the year on iOS, Android, and PC. Pre-registration is open only for the mobile version. The game is the IP's first game adaptation, with an original story involving original author Katarina and battles against the Strongest Species including Rikaon of the Night Raid and Weathermon the Gravekeeper.
