Overwatch Reveals D.Mon, New MEKA Unit Hero for Season 4
Blizzard Entertainment released a teaser video for D.Mon, the next playable character in Overwatch, on August 4. D.Mon is a member of the MEKA unit, a squad of former pro gamers that includes D.Va. The unit was formed because operating the mechs' advanced systems requires excellent reflexes and judgment, and top-tier players answered the conscription. The teaser shows D.Mon's mech, holding a beam saber in its right hand, taking off with great momentum, and also features D.Va's mech. A full hero trailer is scheduled to premiere at 1 a.m. Japan Time on August 7 (9 a.m. Pacific Time on August 6). D.Mon will be added when Season 4 begins on August 11. This is the character's first appearance as a playable hero, but D.Mon can be seen at around 0:24 in the 2018 short animation 'Shooting Star,' which depicts D.Va's battles and bonds with her comrades. The game is available free-to-play on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch platforms.
