Physics-Based Raft Survival Game 'SHORE' Announced for PC

Indie developer Underdog announced 'SHORE' on July 28, a cooperative survival game for up to four players set on a physics-driven raft in the open ocean. The game begins when a volcanic eruption destroys the island where the group was vacationing, forcing them to flee on a fragile wooden raft with few paddles and scant supplies. Players must coordinate their paddling to keep the unstable raft balanced, as waves, weight distribution, and ocean currents constantly shift its course. The sea is filled with threats including storms, tsunamis, icebergs, whirlpools, hungry sharks, and unknown deep-sea creatures. Along the way, players can explore ruined islands, drifting debris, and sunken ships for supplies, but these expeditions carry risks. The game features procedurally generated challenge elements and five biomes, with no two voyages being the same. It is scheduled for release on PC via Steam in Q4 2026, with Japanese language support planned. Playtest applications are currently open on the Steam store page, with the test date to be announced later. The developer has shared development logs on social media and YouTube, which have accumulated over 600,000 views, and has received over 2,000 community suggestions that have shaped the game's direction.

Tile Placement Strategy Game ShoreTiles Launches on Steam September 3

Publisher Noovola announced on July 23, 2026, that the tile placement strategy game 'ShoreTiles', developed by Voxel Studios, will launch on Steam on September 3. The game tasks players with building an island around a fragile lighthouse by placing tiles during the day and defending against monsters called 'the Drowned' at night. Land tiles come in 1x2 combinations of elements like settlements, farms, military camps, and walls. Placing identical structures adjacent to each other provides bonuses and increases soldier counts at military camps. Players draw tiles from a deck and purchase additional tiles from a shop ship that arrives after each night. The lighthouse's light has a limited range, so players must build new lighthouses to expand the island and exploration area. Events such as discovering relics, encountering blessings or curses, and completing quests to unlock new structure types (windmills, water towers, forts) also occur. The game ends if the lighthouse is destroyed or all units are wiped out. A demo is currently available. Due to time zone differences, the Japanese release date is listed as September 4.
