Marvelous announced Story of Seasons: Your Wonderful Life, a virtual reality farming game built on Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life. Marvelous and Grounding will release it for Meta VR Glasses, Meta Quest 3, and Meta Quest 3s in spring 2027. Players water crops and tend animals without a controller, with new minigames for milking cows and shearing sheep. A trailer streamed alongside the announcement.
Marvelous announced on September 24, 2026 that Story of Seasons: Your Wonderful Life will be released in spring 2027. The price is undecided. The game will run on Meta VR Glasses, the headset Meta announced on September 23, 2026 (US time), along with Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 3S. Marvelous describes it as the company's first MR title. The game is based on Story of Seasons: Welcome! Wonderful Life, released in 2023, and carries over its farm work: fields, cows and sheep, shipping, shopping, fishing, excavation, and time with villagers. All operations support full hand tracking, so players can pick up buildings and trace fields without a controller. The official Story of Seasons account quoted the announcement and pointed to a store page. The rating is IARC 3+ and the rights notice reads 2026 Marvelous Inc. Screenshots shown so far come from a game still in development.
Marvelous showed new footage of its next Story of Seasons title and the first footage of Rune Factory 6 during a livestream marking the 30th anniversary of Story of Seasons and the 20th of Rune Factory. The company had announced Rune Factory 6 in 2023.
Marvelous announced on August 21 that the latest entry in the Story of Seasons series, Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar, will be the next title in Nintendo's simultaneous trial event for Nintendo Switch Online members. The trial runs from August 24 at 12:00 to August 30 at 17:59, letting subscribers play the full game for free during that window. The game, released in August 2025, is a farm management simulation set in Soyokaze Town, a community known for its weekly bazaar that has fallen into decline. Players grow crops, care for animals, and sell goods at the bazaar to revive the town and aim for the world's greatest bazaar. It is based on the 2008 Nintendo DS game Story of Seasons: Welcome! Wind Bazaar, with updated graphics and systems for current consoles. Alongside the trial, a sale runs from August 24 to September 6, offering 40% off the Switch version at 3,960 yen and the Switch 2 version at 4,620 yen. Save data from the trial can transfer to the purchased full version.
