Daisenryaku SSB2 Season 2 Launches November 26 With Free Update and New DLC
SystemSoft Beta announced on August 25 that Season 2 of the modern military strategy sim Daisenryaku SSB2 will begin on November 26. The update applies to the Switch 2, PS5, and Switch versions, and includes a major free update alongside new paid DLC. The free update adds a new rule called Technology Level, which assigns every weapon a level from 1 to 3. As turns progress, a faction's technology level rises, unlocking more advanced weapons for production. Players can also opt for a classic rule that makes all weapons available from the start. New weapons include the F-3 fighter, developed under the GCAP program as the successor to the F-2, plus anti-tank infantry and towed howitzers. The update also introduces three difficulty settings at map start, adjustable initial values for industrial power and fuel reserves, and replay features such as unit emblems, map clear icons, and a weapon collection. The paid DLC, called Power Up Kit, adds a Campaign Mode where players clear 30 maps while carrying over surviving units and earned weapons. It also includes the new production type Pakistan. Separate weapon, map, and BGM packs for Australia and India will launch alongside, adding vehicles such as the HAL AMCA, Vikrant aircraft carrier, and Hobart-class destroyer. New package editions, Power Up Edition and Ultimate EX Edition, are also planned.
