BLACK TORCH Anime Reveals Theme Songs by SiM and I Don't Like Mondays.
The upcoming BLACK TORCH TV anime has revealed its opening and ending theme songs, performed by SiM and I Don't Like Mondays., alongside a new key visual and promotional video. The opening theme is "FREEZE ME UP" by SiM, and the ending theme is "Groooovy" by I Don't Like Mondays. Both songs debut in the new PV, which also features intense battle scenes. The second key visual shows protagonist Nijiro Azuma and his partner Ragou, along with members of the anti-mononoke unit Black Torch: Ichika, Reiji, Shiba, and Usami, as well as antagonists Koga and Tenki. The anime is based on the manga by Takaki Tsuyoshi, which ran in Jump Square and Shonen Jump+ from 2017 to 2018. Directed by Kei Mabiki at studio 100studio, the series will begin airing on July 4, 2026, on TOKYO MX and other stations. The cast includes Ryota Suzuki as Nijiro, Yoji Ueda as Ragou, Ayaka Senbongi as Ichika, and Junya Enoki as Reiji. Comments from both musical acts were also released.
