Atashin'chi NEXT Confirms New Episodes, Taku Kimura as New Director
New episodes of Atashin'chi NEXT are confirmed for production, announced at the ABEMA Anime Festival 2026 Shin-Ei Animation 50th Anniversary Special Stage on September 19. Taku Kimura, who directed the TV anime Yani Neko, takes over as director for the new episodes. A teaser video is released on YouTube. The cast returns: Kumiko Watanabe as Mother, Fumiko Orikasa as Mikan, Daisuke Sakaguchi as Yuzuhiko, and Kenichi Ogata as Father.
