taskey Announces Midnight Toybox, A Death Game Board Game
taskey announced Midnight Toybox on October 19, 2026, a turn-based horror board game for PC via Steam, with a demo released the same day and a full release planned for early December 2026 at an undecided price. The game is set in a child's room at midnight, where the player is the night's newcomer, dragged into a death game by modified toys. All pieces on the board look identical, but some are infantry and some are bombers. The player wins by taking three of the opponent's infantry, by making the opponent take three of the player's bombers, or by advancing an infantry piece to the far end of the opponent's territory. Because a piece's identity stays unknown until it is taken, reading the opponent's intent is the core of play. Tactic cards add special movement, card stealing, and the ability to count an acquired piece as two. Midnight Toybox is the first title in taskey's game business, developed and published by its horror label Rabidbit Games.
