RENGAME announced a new game for the anime 'Keroro Gunso☆', airing fall 2026. Titled 'Keroro Gunso☆ Hachamecha TV Show ~Shoukin Getto Daisakusen de Arimasu!~', it is a casual mini-game collection for Nintendo Switch and Steam. It launches in December 2026 for 1,800 yen. Panic, the company behind the crank-equipped handheld console Playdate, is automatically refunding $12.36 to customers as a share of tariff rebates it received from the U.S. government. The rebate follows a Supreme Court ruling against the tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump, which had led Panic to raise the Playdate's price. The refunds are expected to land in customer accounts within a few days. Panic's Cabel Sasser told Game Developer, "Simply put, this is not money we should keep." The company acknowledged that processing the rebate and building the refund system took significant work, and Neven Mrgan noted on Bluesky that Panic lost sales after the announcement, but everyone agreed refunding customers was right. Panic explained that the Playdate's low hardware profit margins meant it could not absorb the tariff costs itself. The move contrasts with major companies like Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft, which are keeping similar rebates. Nintendo, for instance, reflected roughly $300 million in tariff rebates in its earnings, and consumers have filed class action lawsuits alleging double-dipping when companies both profit from higher prices and retain the rebates.

Publisher Ziggurat Interactive announced a remaster of the 1998 psycho-horror adventure 'Sanitarium' titled 'Sanitarium Enhanced,' launching within 2026. The remaster supports PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG.com. Developed by QUByte Interactive, it adds higher resolution, full controller support, Steam Deck optimization, a movement speed toggle, and a bonus gallery with unreleased materials from the original team.

OceanVeil announced the television anime adaptation of Okumaro's manga Now That I Can Control Reality With A Mouse Cursor, I'm Gonna Click Away On The Girls! on Friday, revealing the main cast, staff, a promotional video, and an October 4 premiere date. The anime will air on Tokyo MX and BS11 in Japan at 25:00, effectively October 5 at 1:00 a.m. It will stream earlier on AnimeFesta starting September 11, with a censored trailer on YouTube and an uncensored "Premium Version" on AnimeFesta. The story follows Takumi, an otaku who discovers a mouse cursor that has escaped his computer screen into the real world, allowing him to manipulate reality, including clicking on his childhood friend Mone. Perfect World's first-half 2026 financial results show NTE: Neverness to Everness has exceeded 2 billion yuan (approx. 47 billion yen) in global cumulative sales as of August 18. Weapons range from bows and shotguns to plasma rifles and alien prototype technology. The game was first announced at The Game Awards in 2024, originally planned for fall 2026, but the release window has shifted to spring 2027. A story trailer was released with the announcement, showing gameplay and narration. Turok: Origins will be available on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2, with Japanese display support planned. Saber Interactive, known for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 and Jurassic Park: Survival, is developing the game, marking its first work on the Turok series.

The game is the latest entry in the Transport Fever series, in which players build and manage logistics networks spanning railways, roads, and sea routes across four environmental areas: temperate, desert, tropical, and subarctic. The title was first announced in May 2025 with a budget of $24 million, approximately 3.7 billion yen at the time, funded from internal resources, with 90% allocated to game development. Alongside the standard edition, a Deluxe Edition includes real vehicles such as the Concorde, London Bus, and TEE, plus landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and Taj Mahal, and wild animals including orcas and Komodo dragons. 3goo released the PS5 download version of the cooperative survival shooter Alien: Fireteam Elite 2 today. The Standard Edition costs 6,490 yen, and the 40th Anniversary Premium Edition costs 9,130 yen. The PS5 package version is due October 22, and the Switch 2 version is set for November 12. The Rain's Jackson's Star Pack, inspired by Alien: Romulus, also launched today.
Pioneer will release two SOUND TECTOR portable gaming speakers, the TQ-PG400K in black and the TQ-PG400WB in white, in mid-September. They work with Nintendo Switch 2, Switch, and USB Type-C smartphones. The battery-less units draw power directly from the connected device and include a charging-only port so the console can charge while in use. CharacterBank announced on August 28, 2026 that the VR action RPG Knights of Fiona will launch on September 4, 2026 at 2:00 a.m. Japan Time. The game will be free-to-start, with a Story Pass priced at 3,000 yen or $18.99 that unlocks all main story chapters. Set in the fantasy world of Galia, players take on the role of the Knight of the Oath for the priestess Fiona, fighting enemies with swords, bows, and magic. The final chapter of Shuu Katayama's Fujori Zakkaten Unreal will run in the October issue of Shinshokan's Wings magazine, the magazine's X account announced. The fifth compiled volume ships in late November. The manga follows an unusual shop that sells people's thoughts, where customers' lives change greatly and owner Yagio watches with cold eyes. It launched in June 2022 and inspired a live-action series in 2025 and a stage play in January.
An Ogura's The Margrave's Daughter and the Enemy Prince published its final chapter on July 11 on Cygames' Cycomi platform. Ogura announced a side story focused on the character Iris. Futabasha shipped the 14th compiled volume on July 10, and Tokyopop, which publishes the English edition, shipped the eighth volume on May 12.

Square Enix's Manga UP! Global service adds Akina's The Viscount's Porky Portrait: I Married the Knight My Sister Rejected manga on Friday. The adaptation of Mogura Manami's light novels follows Mimosa, a noblewoman who accepts her sister's rejected engagement and finds a kind husband. Akina launched the manga on Gangan Online in August 2023.
