Taito will release "Estpolis Denki I&II" for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and PC in 2027, with the price still undecided, according to the announcement covered by Game Spark and GAME Watch. The package collects two Super Famicom RPGs: "Estpolis Denki," released in 1993, and "Estpolis Denki II," released in 1995. The collection is a port with some renewed elements, made with the cooperation of Masahide Miyata, the planner of the Estpolis Denki series. Clear River Games, a Sweden-based publisher that handles retro re-releases and physical editions of indie games, announced the project. A teaser site opened alongside the announcement, carrying comments from Taito's production team, Miyata, and the ClearRiverGames production team. The Steam store page lists support for eight languages, including Japanese. The announcement drew a reaction from professional skater Yuzuru Hanyu, who has long said he is a fan of the series.

Happinet's booth at Tokyo Game Show 2026 gathers the upcoming Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare alongside Beast of Reincarnation, Star Wars: Galactic Racer, and Terranigma, all playable on the show floor. Visitors can also try an additional SD card for the Egret II mini retro console, and Nippon Ichi Software, a partner company, brought a Prinny to the venue. The show runs from September 17 to September 21 at Makuhari Messe and TKP Tokyo Bay Makuhari Hall. The booth's demo lineup is broad enough that trying each title in sequence takes considerable time. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, the latest entry in the series, is set for release on October 23, priced at 9,800 yen for the standard edition and 13,200 yen for the premium edition, and a multiplayer demo is playable at the booth. The booth also includes a niche stop for retro hardware fans.

Clear River Games will release a remaster of Quintet's 1995 action RPG Terranigma on January 14, 2027 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and GOG. The company announced the date on September 16 and began streaming a trailer the same day. A playable demo will be available at Tokyo Game Show 2026, which runs from September 17 to September 21, at the Happinet booth in Hall 6. The package adds modern features, including a new Arrange Mode with boosted magic damage, a minimap, and save and load anywhere, plus a rewind function, a CRT filter, and a music player. Pre-orders opened on September 17. The original game was developed by Quintet and published by Enix in 1995 for the Super Famicom; it was released in English in Europe and Australia on the SNES.

Clear River Games announced a remaster of the 1995 Super Famicom action RPG Terranigma during the Pixel Arcadia showcase on August 25, 2026. The game, developed by Quintet and originally published by Enix, will launch in early 2027 for PC (Steam and GOG.com), PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. PLAION will handle publishing for the domestic packaged version. The remaster is licensed by Square Enix, with key members of the original development team participating.
